About this event

Duluth’s Western Waterfront is on a freshwater estuary that in springtime is a resting spot for thousands of migratory birds including pelicans, as well as a home to sturgeon and wild rice! Refresh your brain before finals with a paddle and bike ride along the Western Waterfront. We will slip out into the river in kayaks to discover birds, and signs of other creatures living there, then bike a historic former railroad grade between rocky walls on the Munger Trail on our return. Our experienced leaders will introduce you to equipment, safety, kayak paddling techniques, and bike fit.
