Bulldogs Behind the Scenes: Boulder Lake

6/11/20, 12:00 PM

About this event

Join alumni and friends for a virtual tour of Boulder Lake -- an 18,000 acre classroom just over 20 miles north of Duluth. The Boulder Lake Environmental Education Program provides a window for students of all ages to view full-scale natural resource management. The outdoor classroom includes access to trails, lakes, streams, ponds, wetlands, bogs, gravel pits, and forests. The diversity of plants and animals, cultural history, and ongoing stewardship of land and water are what make Boulder Lake Management Area an ideal setting for education.
Ryan Hueffmeier, Director of the Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center, will take us on a guided virtual tour of the area, sharing information on hidden gems, and answering our questions. This Virtual Bulldogs Behind the Scenes can be viewed live via Zoom. Register for this event, and you will receive an email from UMD Alumni Relations with a link to the webinar. A recording of the webinar will be available to view at a later date with closed captioning.
